Looking to buy a supercharger kit, and I've narrowed it down to ECS and A&A. They both look pretty good to me, however this is my first Corvette and I don't know enough to decide. Any help would be appreciated.

out of those two, get the one that smells better. i think ecs uses extra butter so if you have cholesterol problems then that might sway your decision.

Which blower head too is a good question!
If you go by what the manufacturer says that the most efficient
one is the standard si trim at 78 percent, The t trim or 1500 was 72 percent.
Now I see they have a V-1ti trim 75 percent at 1400 cfm this might be a good choice too maybe spin it slower.


For the 6.2 size and then with the DI high compression being higher than the ls3. I'm thinking the V-3si for the lt1!
It should put out a little more rwhp per pound of boost. But the Ti looks good too it real close to a YSI in output in a small
case.

Self or professional install? Are you doing headers and mid pipe also? What kind of power are you looking to make?

ECS, A&A, Procharger... In that order.

I would stay away from our flashy marketing you see in this section from the new guys. Stick with a company that has proven results like the 3 above. Dont gamble with your money.

I'm essentially trying to make the kind of power the Z06 will have. This is not a daily driver but at the same time I don't want something that is gonna overheat after a half hour or anything like that.

Rock'n Blue 08 - you seem very knowledgeable but unfortunately I don't know enough about this stuff to really know what you are saying. I also don't know what a PD supercharger is.

Kennyboy404 - I'd probably do headers just for the sound and probably a cat back as well. Again, it's not a daily so I might as well be obnoxious! As for install, I guess if it was easy I'd try it. I have a decent shop setup on my land with plenty of tools and some good hands to help out.

As for everyone else, I understand you have opinions on what to get, but I'd like to know why. Is this where you just like the way one drives but they are essentially the same thing or are there actual driving differences or maintenance that differentiate the kits?

PD stands for Positive Displacement. It's a different type of supercharger from a centrifugal type.

The differences between twin screw, roots (both PDs), and centrifugal superchargers is certainly worth a read, as they all act quite a bit differently and have their own pros/cons.

How about the fact that a few of us posting drive 1000+hp cars and know what works and what doesn't?

ECS and A&A offer better belt wrap and better tensioners than anyone else. They use quality components and are designed by shops that have specialized and refined corvette blower systems for many years.
