Your not kidding...that poor converter was begging for mercy.

This car with those mods should be well into the low 9's at 137mph+. Does that cam retain the vvt/afm or is still a "standard" grind?

Sounds roudy and the car runs great on motor.... any approx. power numbers you can share before an official release?

5xxrwhp ??

Amazing! Congrats guys! It's incredible how few mods it takes the C7 to get into the 9s.

Sort the TC/tranny out and you are good for high 8s. Constant RPM and let the tranny do all the work is a good thing. You are hooking up good. Note the front lifting, is that stock droop?

Few changes to your article. The tires are 305 and it is a Circle D Converter.

Great accomplishment! LMR nails it again.

How is the transmission holding up with that kind of torque multiplication? What are your tranny fluid temps like in daily driving with a high-stall like that?

Any signs that the tranny is about to let go after a few hard passes at the strip on sticky tires?

If this tranny can reliably handle close to 700 RWHP from the factory, then I've just died and gone to heaven!

Transmission seems to be holding just fine. No indications that it is hurt at all. I cant comment on the trans temps daily driving it as the customer drove it last weekend and we've just drove it out of the shop this week. Ill try to get the customer to check on that for you this weekend.

"High 8s" with 668 rwhp in a 3300 lb car? "Low 9s" with "5xxrwhp"?

Come on. Might as well expect a 7.999. Always easy to knock another second off, right?

Something happened in that tranny that prevented acceleration in the second 8th. I say there is close to a second there.

While I agree that based on the 1/8th speed, the car should have trapped ~138-140 in the 1/4, IMO there is no way that would account for "close to a second".
140 (on the high end) in the 1/4 on a 1.40 short time is nowhere near an 8-second pass. I've run similar increments a few years ago in a car with a TH400, and they were 9.6-.7 passes.

We are expecting a .65-.70 pass with the converter lined out. You are very close on your assumptions
