Default Katech C7 Carbon Fiber Radiator Exit Duct

The first time I saw the C7 engine compartment, there was an enormous piece of plastic staring me in the face and screaming for carbon fiber. We took the factory radiator exit duct and made a carbon fiber version with finished carbon on both the top side you see in the engine compartment, and the inside that you can see through the hood louvers. I love this piece. We will also be doing a matching component for the hood duct on the inside of the hood.

Here is a picture of the prototype. I'm still working out the sealing interface between the hood duct and the radiator exit duct, so that will change a little bit. I just had to show these pictures though.

We're still working on the time to lay it up so pricing has not been determined yet. As soon as we do we'll put it on our website.

The first one was made pretty beefy and was about the same as stock. Production parts have one less layer of carbon, but the difference is negligible. Less than a pound savings.

Katech's radiator exit duct is four 7mm screws. That should be it.

Our intake takes two screws into the same exact mounting location as stock, two screws to hold the intake to the airbox, and two hose clamps on the throttle body/Stinger.

There are two MAF screws, and washers, that mount your stock MAF in the same location as stock.

Just weighed the side covers (not the center) .32lbs vs. .64lb each. 50% less weight. The whole Katech package likely saves 2 to 3 lbs easily.

Our intake 3lbs.

Being this is a show piece, how close is the carbon fiber pattern and color compared to Halltech's new intake? I would want them to match as close as possible because they sit so close together. Thanks
