Default American Racing Headers installed!

Our C7 Headers arrived the other day here at the shop and we wasted no time installing them.

As always the American Racing fitment was perfect and made installation a breeze. I'll post up some pictures in a little bit, but here is a video of the first startup. With the dual mode exhaust it's actually still quiet with the valves closed.

Car goes on the dyno in the morning to see what we gain.

Are these long tube headers..... and what size are they?
1 3/4 are good for torque in this stock engine I assume. 1 7/8 if you are thinking of adding a cam, ported intake, CAI, and head work?

Guys, we sent Matt our 1-7/8" long tube system with cats. It's our system that ends at the rear axle. We'll be posting pictures and dyno graphs of both our latest C7 kits.

Matt thanks to you as we'll for choosing ARH. Update us as things progress with all your planned upgrades.

We got swamped at the shop yesterday and did not get a chance to get final numbers yet. It is being strapped to the dyno as I'm typing this so we will post up the results later on today.

Had some issues saving the video but got it all taken care of.

Here is a before and after on the dyno.

We saw gains of 30HP and 29TQ at the wheels.

We took the 7 speed manual car out to Atco Dragway the other night and made a couple of passes on street tires.

Here is the best pass. Only mods are ARH Long Tubes and our tune!

Is the 30 HP and 29 TQ gain with no tune?

I believe from their thread in C7 General... that is with HEADERS AND A TUNE.

If this is the case, then those numbers are quite low

We are typically seeing 40+ whp gains with the same setup. They may have been conservative with their tune on 91, instead of an aggressive tune on 93 octane. That can make a 10hp difference.

A little better launch and you'll see 11.5 at 122+, that's a fantastic time for a $55k factory car with minor upgrades!
