Sorry to anybody I replied to that they were sold....I got jerked around by another forum member in illinois that said he was going to buy the wheels and he was going to pick them up...over Labor Day weekend....I asked for a deposit...but ohhh...he suddenly forgot to put money in his paypal account...then apologized the next day i again said i wanted a deposit...he said ...of coarse he was working things out..I then told him again...the following morning...I wanted a deposit....i gave him until noon...nothing after that...

Thanks very much...I totally got jerked around by a forum member from Chicago Area (Bloomingdale)...I actually stopped the powder coater from blasting and coating the wheels titanium metallic for my car (extra set for tracking)...because I received several offers for two weeks from him... I decided to help him out and went out of my way (120 mile round trip) and ran and got the chrome wheels for the guy....banking on his word that he would buy them and pick them up on Labor day Monday...I asked for a deposit...he said he would...I said to him...your word is your honor..he said thats the only way... after making the long trip to get them...got home...checked paypal...nothing...I txt him a message and asked about the deposit...said he forgot to go to the bank "really dude"...anybody with intelligence would figure out that paypal would take it from your bank account...the next morning I txt him again...said he was working on it...that evening...nothing...then late that evening he said he had a change of plans and couldn't pick them up that holiday monday...this was the lowest thing I ever had happened...I asked all of my friends...what to do...My wife said walk away....another friend said expose his forum name and for you folks...not to do business with him...but the majority said...to tell him to f/off...so in a kind way...I told him he was a snake and not to bother me again...I don't like baby sitting grown men that act like a high school kid...that want something for nothing...so let this be a lesson....always ask for a deposit within a reasonable amount of time...say 4 hrs...or it's their loss if someone else comes through....funny thing is...i kept his txt messages...just in case someone here asks...I'll be glad to furnish...So snake...if you are reading this...I wish you well

I had a guy do me the same way only i lost the sale by holding them for him. Never heard from him again. Ended up selling them but at a lesser price. I like u have learned from this. U did the correct thing taking the high ground. Rare to find a fellow corvette guy conducting business this way. Good luck with the sale

checked another member post from texas for Z06 silver wheels!!...there he is making a offer for 1000 and shipping to illinois...really...the shipping alone would cost at least 150 bucks...so 850 bucks for Z06 wheels...thats pretty low...but thats what he did to me...I must have said no about 5 times to him...on his offers...then I just decided to give him a hand...because you don't see a lot of chrome wheels on this forum
