What you're looking for can be done. You'd just need a source, and run some wires to tap into that source. It would probably be easier to just run a switch so you can turn them on/off when you want.

Quick question.
I got these strips and they are awesome....provide way more light than the tiny SMD chip from the factory.
I got the driver's side strip installed with no problem. Looks fantastic.
The passenger side is a little complicated because the light unit is under the plastic housing. On your website, installation instructions call for a forked panel removal tool. I don't have one of those. Is there anything I can substitute for that tool???
