I thought the rear bar took a number of hours to install?

Honestly took me 15-20 minutes to install. It took a little longer cause my wife was taking pictures and I didn't know exactly what tools I needed. I'm making a instruction manual. It can be done on the ground with basic hand tools. 2 sockets, a wrench, ratchet, extension and torque wrench. I also had it on my lift. It's just 4 bolts and 4 nuts. I didn't have to move anything to install it. You have to guide it in just right buy its not a big deal.

Good to know. Thank you! I installed my first one today and it fit great. I took it out for some spirited driving and it felt a lot better in tight turns. I didn't want to get too crazy with it because it only has 300 miles on it.

Painless install. Gene at GM partshouse has put together a full F&R kit for about $275. Awaiting mine now..

I assume that you're talking about lubing the interior surfaces of the insolators where they contact the bar. What did you use?

Is this the Z51 rear bar, or one designed to work with the front bar on the base coupe?

Finished installing my Z51 front and rear sways today. Seemed to eliminate most of the body roll, my car feels much more sure-footed than before, especially in the curves. They also seemed to eliminate much of the "bounciness" in the base ride. Sorry I cannot give you track guys a better technical description. Very glad I did it!

Good option to upgrade.

I'm holding out for something aftermarket that would be an upgrade over the Z51 bars. One reason is for even tighter feel, the other reason is that aftermarket tubular sway bars weigh a lot less than factory sway bars.
