I have become paranoid about the possibility of the factory chrome wheels cracking on my 2018 GS. I only have about 6K on the car, but I'm afraid to take a road trip for fear of a wheel cracking. It happened to another member of our club, and he and his wife ended-up in the ditch. Thankfully no one was injured!
The streets in my city are also full of potholes and no matter how much I try to avoid them; I inevitably find one!
I found a wheel I like in black chrome (CS Wheels on Ebay). Can't tell if they come in the correct size or off-set for my car. I don't want to deviate from the factory size/off-set, if at all possible. (19 x 10 & 20 x 12)
Can anyone provide any guidance?
I am also curious about run-flat tires and pressure sensors. I think I agree with OEM sensors, and I like the Michelin tires (P-Zeros I think).
Any experienced advice would be greatly appreciated!
FWIW, I had the same fears on my 19 GS and eventually the wheels cracked with a slow leak that was manageable. I replaced them with OEM sizes and Grundy Insurance picked up the tab. Check your insurance policy/Company and see if they will cover cracked wheels. If so, hunt for some pot holes and get them replaced. Good luck.
I replaced my 2019 GS wheels with GS01 now supplied by Wheel designers; I really like the look of the GM rim; the GS01 is a very close copy with a slightly different offset that fits perfectly. They are fully forged.

There are a number of wheel vendors right here on the forum that can set you up with some quality wheels that will certainly lessen any possibility of cracked/bent wheels.
As far as runflat tires go, the Michelins are excellent and if you live in an area that sees all four seasons, consider getting the all season runflats.
If/when you buy new wheels, make sure they are "Forged". There are a lot of wheel companies out there, and with as many style offerings there are the search can be overwhelming, but it really comes down to how much you want to spend.
Quality, fully-forged aftermarket wheels are always best, but especially for wide-body Vettes. Granted, such is not cheap; but, this is a case of getting what you pay for, and what genuinely works best. And, with you living in Wichita (I spent a lot of my childhood in Newton) get All Season tires, no matter which you go with... assuming you are really going to drive your car all year around. I had the same concerns about my stock chrome wheels.... and anyway wanted to ditch the summer tires for Michelin AS ZP tires. I ended up buying Forgeline F01 Flow-Forged wheels... the Black Ice variety. I couldn't be happier. Flow Forging is not quite the same as full-forged, but is much better than the stock cast aluminum wheels. Plus Forgeline is a solid company and major Corvette Forum vendor.
I had an issue with the wheels on my 2019 GS a few years back. Had a vibration, brought the car to be road forced balanced and they found ALL FOUR wheels were bent. I knew this was a common problem and it wasn’t a matter of if, but when my wheels would bend or crack again. So rather than constantly worry - I went to Gerry Corbo at Custom Wheels 4 Less and had a set of fully forged Forgeline VX1R’s made. Gerry was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful.
One of the wheels arrived with shipping damage (looked like a lifting fork went thru the box). I noticed the damage while ceramic coating the wheels at my buddy’s detail shop at 10:30pm on a Saturday night. I texted Gerry some photos and he called me back that night to tell me - not to worry, it would be taken care of. I then had a shipping label sent to my email THAT NIGHT. The wheel went back to Forgeline to be fixed. I got the wheel back in a week and a half. I couldn’t find any evidence of the previous damage, I was stunned how well it looked, flawless.
I found Gerry here on the forums and I’m glad I did. Overall a very good experience. With in 5 minutes of conversation you’ll be blown away with how much he knows about the fitment and measurements on these cars.

Sudden loss of tire pressure on right rear, at 70mph on rough 2-lane. He had been having an issue with tire-pressure in that tire.
In case you are wondering, it is a Z-06 and had about 10k miles at the time.

I am hoping to find a set of forged, black chrome, w/OEM width and (near-same) off-set (which I am not sure about?)
I found the wheel but having trouble answering the off-set question. (CS Wheels, C7 Z06 19/20")
Hoping my 6600 mile OEM Michelin ZP's will be good for another year at normal speeds (climate controlled parking)

I swore when I bought this car it was going to be unlike most of the previous Corvettes I have owned which were mainly used for "fair-weather-shows"!
So far, not too good!
Although our OEM Grand Sport wheels were not cracked or bent (our roads are generally better than most states), we decided to go with forged GS01 by Wheel Designers.
Sizes and offsets: Front 19 x 10 - 43mm Rear 20 x 12 - 59mm
We chose Full Polish & Clearcoat.
