Question about C7 Roof Latch

Question about C7 Roof Latch
Probably a noob question, but I read somewhere that the "J hook" on the rear roof latch is adjustable. I can see that my hook is obviously threaded towards the bottom so it looks like it should be able to turn, but for whatever reason I can't get it to turn either direction. Any ideas?

There is a little allen screw that locks it in. I always thought mine didn't pull tight enough, but I found that one turn was just a little too much. Mine started creaking after about 50k miles, and it seems the only cure for that was/is to replace the latches and pins. The kit p/n's are posted in another thread around here somewhere.

The Allen set screw on the J-hook takes a metric Allen wrench.
Even though the threads on the hook itself look rather fine, sometimes it's still a case of either too much or too little adjustment per turn.

I found out about that allen head screw when I had my C5s. Just a slight adjustment can make a world of difference in keeping the top rattle/squeak free.
