Changing Seat Covers
I am looking at a C7Z that has all I need but it has standard adrenaline red seats. I want black. Has anyone switched their seat covers for a different color? Also, is it hard to do or does a professional have to do it? Are black OEM seat covers readily available and what am I looking at for cost of covers. Thank for your help.

Not hard to do, only time consuming. Many of us have done this. Is the car a 1LZ, 2 or 3LZ?

So Nappa leather. Shouldn’t be hard to find, assuming no factory back orders (maybe someone can chime in if they know of back orders). Your red ones should be an easy sell on the forum marketplace. Black nappa ones come up for sale occasionally too. Keep an eye out on the C7 Parts for sale section. If you decide to get the car and move forward with the swap, keep me posted. I’ll let you know where to get the step by step instructions

Kustom Interior has some really nice quality seat covers that go over your OEM ones. They fit like a glove and look actually look like a regular seat not a cover. They have different colors and patterns I really love mine. Here’s a few pics of my seat covers.

If you don’t have arthritis or carpal tunnel, it’s not a bad job at all. Certainly not a difficult job, just time consuming. Sip a drink of choice and spend a couple hours a night a couple nights and you’re all set

Check out the for sale section - I see seat covers pop up every now and then and the pricing seems reasonable. Or crest a wanted to buy/wanted to trade thread detailing just what you are looking for.

It's not difficult at all. I replaced mine due to wear, and it was easier than I anticipated. There are posts and videos that helped me, to understand the procedure, just Google and you should find a bunch of helpful videos

The Adrenaline red interior is more than just the seats, especially in a 3LZ or 3LT.
Not sure how black seats would look with everything else still red.

OEM Replacement Leather Seat Covers and interior | Ridies
The quality was superb, but the color was not a match. It was a lighter gray than my C5's interior. I did not install them. They took them back. They were not happy about it because they recommend you order a sample card first, so I don't blame them.
You can have them send you samples at no charge and then decide if that works for you. They are custom made so you can design any combo you want with any stitch you want.
I think I waited 4 weeks.
OEM did not have color combos, so if you're leaning that way, custom or aftermarket is the only way to go.
