Default Best X pipe with no fitment issues

Hello everyone,
I am looking at getting an x pipe for my 2016 z51. I just want a brand that is great on fitment and ease of installation. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

main question is are you looking to go catless? or just high flow cats?
also most of the standard well known ones from years ago are no longer making the catless so you might want to go used.
however their are a few like EOS and speed engineering still making catless ones.

all from my understanding dont have any fitment issues and all are very basic to install. nothing special for this install, very straight forward.

If you are choosing a catless option, then you are fairly limited. Most suppliers quit offering them when "the man" decided to crack down on these because of emissions. However, companies that continue to sell them just have notices on their sites saying these parts are for Off-Road (racing only) applications.

There are numerous threads on the forum that talk about these various options. The bottom line, is that as long as they use quality materials and the craftsmanship (welds, bends, fitment, etc.) is acceptable, they all do essentially the same thing!

I chose the Extreme Online Store's (EOS) X-pipe. Their product is unique in that it is made in two sections. Makes the installation a little different from the others. But I found that it gave the assembly a little more flexibility to get the best fitment during installation. Don't hesitate to message me if you want any additional details on the EOS X-Pipe and installation.

You really can't go wrong with any X-pipe you find. Again, search the C7 forum and you will find a lot of great info. GOOD LUCK!

For those who installed the Borla, is this the 'old' pipe which eliminated the second cat, or the newer model which requires you to cut the pipe? That would seem to make any installation more complex (and the main reason why I'm not looking at the Borla x-pipe).

The old version with no cutting. Was after one for a long time and finally snagged a smoking deal on Facebook Marketplace - and they were local to boot! I just chose to get new gaskets for good measure even though the old ones looked good.

I got lucky...

They sound good and they are supposed to add power. There are a few dyno test runs on YouTube, before and after the x-pipe add. You sound skeptical.

So one is $800 and the other is $260 and no difference. That's good to know.

Obviously sarcasm LOL. There are major differences. Some are one piece, some two. Some are single helix, others are two. Weight as well to some extent.
