Corvette insurance is cheap bc its mostly owned by old people and they just sit around in the garage all the time with minimal wrecks/theft. The toyota is much more prone to having a wreck, getting stolen bc parts are easy to flip, etc.

The insurance rates often depend on who is listed as the primary driver, that person's age & driving record, and the annual mileage typically driven by that car.
My wife is listed as the primary driver on my Z06 because she has a better driving record. My Vette is the most expensive car that we own, and the least expensive to insure.

Just be thankful that the Vette is cheaper insurance wise and enjoy the car.

Of our six cars insured with Erie, the Corvette is the lowest premium. Demographics of owners and low mileage/year and fewer electronic sensors in the front and rear compared to most cars are probably biggest factors.

Same here. New 2023 RAV4 Hybrid costs more to insure than my 2019 Grand Sport with 15k miles. Value is double. Like Jack said you gotta celebrate the good things.

Numbers talk. The rest is simply guess-work. 2019 GS M7 vert (17k mi.): $891 a yr. (Grundy)
2014 Mazda CX-5 (120k mi.) $1,090 a yr. (Mercury)
Celebration already started. Both 250/500 full coverage

I’m the original owner of my 2004 coupe. It’s literally 40 dollars a month, or 480 a year, full coverage, roadside assistance through my insurance, towing, glass, etc…. It has 80,000 miles on it. With kids and a wife, and a brother that takes me to work, all my cars have low miles on them, my 2012 fusion sport has 47,000, the grocery getter and kid hauler is a 2006 accord with 175,000 on it. The Honda and ford are more expensive on insurance, about 800 a year, used to be between 500 and 600, car insurance went up the past 3 years. It’s not over yet, I think it’s going up more the next few years.

Vettes are usually lower cost to repair. The body on frame construction means that a lot of parts are just bolt-ons whereas unibody cars can have warped bodies that need straightening due to a heavy impact in a rear quarter. In other impacts the plastic body panels either flex and survive damage or crack. There is no degree of bending.

My insurance is $$ no matter what car. 6 month policy renewal went up on both cars I have in November.

I think the OP has a problem and needs to contact the insurance company IMMEDIATELY to have his insurance rate for his Corvette increased so that it's greater than the Camry.
Somehow, I don't think he'll follow my advice.

It actually is a super secret ploy underwritten and sponsored by GM to help offset the purchase of new aftermarket wheels when the GM wheels crack!

My 2016 1LT Stingray is a little more expensive than my 2019 Z06 2LZ. I discovered from a Progressive representative it is because of the advanced theft system on the 2019.
