Quick Jack 5000 Questions
Thinking about getting one of these. Looking for input from anyone using them? Specifically, any clearance issues getting them in place with the pads under the side rails? I have a base Z51 with no side skirts. Have been using individual floor jacks on each side with the rubber hockey puck style pads at the lift points. Also, I understand they are very heavy. Do they have roller wheels on the end to help maneuver them into place?

Hi Squeaky,
I love 5000TL. I store mine on the wall with the included wall brackets. I don't always drag my Quickjack out depends on what I am doing. Sometimes I still use a floor jack. Work great on my C7 Z06. If I recall though the included square blocks don't completely line up with my aluminum jacking pucks that leave on my car. I mean the QJ is not touching anything but my pucks but their rubber block hangs off a bit on the jacking puck.
They are very heavy but they do have wheels on one end so you can hold one side up and roll the other side. I think some of the folks have added wheels to theirs so it has wheels on both sides you can search the forum.
I have read you can leave them under the car when not in use and drive over them but I am not willing to risk that!.
Works great, love it!

I use mine often. I have a 2017 Z51 with the jacking pucks installed. The stands are heavy, but they slide easily under the car. I have stored them under the car but there's not a lot of clearance so I prefer to hang them from the mounts that come with them. I have two sizes of rubber blocks and I always use the taller ones. I am able to get them to fit squarely against each puck tho it takes a little jiggering of the jack to get the jack pucks and the rubber blocks to center up. Once everything lines up I run the jack just enough to make sure the pucks and blocks contact properly, then I jack the car. I have one of those Harbor Freight contoured floor crawlers and I'm not a little guy, but I still have plenty of room to move around and work under the car.
Honestly, this is one of the best tool spends I've ever made. I'd love to have a two-post jack but my garage isn't tall enough for that to really be worth while, and I love the portability of the Quick Jack.
Hope this helps.

This is my garage setup, quickjacks mounted to a door that I rarely use. As mentioned they have wheels but can sometimes just be too much of a bother to setup so I still use my floor jack + stands probably 3-4X more then the quickjacks
When you have a job that needs you to pull off all 4 tires or easily change heights the QJ more then pays for itself
Detailing the cars for instance is worlds easier when you have the QJ and can go from on the ground to 2 feet in the air with the push of a button

Thanks fireicyhott and gordoni. Great input! Sounds like there should be no clearance issues with the rails and lift pads/pucks. I can see where one of these would come in very handy, especially for oil changes. I also like how it will allow the wheels to be removed for brake work or to plug a tire etc. Think I’ll definitely be investing in one after the holidays, unless perhaps Santa gets word of it! 🤣

When I had my 14 Stingray I didn't have any problems getting it under the jacking pucks or storing them under the car. The Stingray was lowered all the way on the stock bolts and had Z06 style side skirts and front splitter. . Great product.

I know mine came from Costco as a Christmas present last year, check them as they run a sale sometimes on them. Actually it is on sale now and this is the bundle that includes wall brackets and all the rubber blocks, etc.

Use mine all the time, especially cleaning wheels. Keep them stored under the car, attached some ball transfers and this makes them movable with one hand.

Everybody beat me to singing its praises.
I will say when I bought mine Home Depot had them and were the cheapest of all places.. Think I paid around $1300-10%. Now says they are $1429. Might get another 10% off if you are a Vet.

Love the ingenuity never thought of using L brackets that's smart. Can I ask where you got them or did you make them. I have zip ties but they move and break all the time. Looking for permamat solution. Were you able to use the brackets on the front and back?

Works great You'll find the pads aren't 100% under the lift points....~75%....but it's fine. After once or twice you get a feel for how to line everything up. In the below pic, I was changing a rear axle. You have to give the axle a pretty good tug to release it from the differential. The car was rock solid on the Quick Jacks.

I love mine as well, got it from costco i think over 2 years now ago. just bough the most basic one with no extra stuff.
definitely bought the hooks so i could place against wall, i think i got those at home depot actually.
no issues other than had to tighten and use some more teflon on a few fittings.

All I will add is that, I bought my QuickJack to help with installing my x-pipe. The QJ was a game changer for me. I am a large guy and once I had my Corvette up in the air, I could easily roll around on my creeper and still have plenty of room to work.
The only thing better for under-car access would be to install a full lift. But for the price and portability of the QuickJack it is hard to beat!
I HIGHLY recommend!!

OP. Too bad you're not closer to me, I'd have a great deal for you. I'm selling mine because I'm 81 and can't lift it off the wall very easily. Anyway, it's a great jack and you'll love it.

I use the 7000TL no way they can stay under my Z.. I use GoJak's to lift by tires, then I put Quickjack underneath.. the 5000 and 7000 basically same dimensions, but 7000TL will lift an SUV
