Is the WD GS01 wheels my ONLY option for a set of forged/chrome wheels for a 2018 GS?
I have a 2018 C7 Grand Sport and I want a set of chrome FORGED wheels that look EXACTLY like the OEM wheels and the only set I can seem to find are the GS01 from Wheel Designers. Is the GS01 from WD the only option in a forged wheel? Has everyone who purchased a set of GS01's from Wheel Designers been satisfied?
These guys claim to make whatever type of wheel you want totally custom. Prices are dirt cheap so not sure about them but at least you can investigate. https://precisionforgedwheels.com
FYI, our wheels are made in the USA and our prices are fair because we don’t want to overcharge on OEM style wheels. We been making them since 2018 and we haven’t had to warranty one wheel yet. We offer better prices so all our guys can have the chance to switch over and get rid of the stock crack issue.
Yes, we do offer something new that we are still working on which is “ Build Your Own Forged Wheels “ also made in USA.
Yes China companies like the one you mentioned can offer you cheap solution but why buy Alibaba wheels when you can have USA 🇺🇸 made wheels.
If price over quality is what you want then makes sense.
IF you want an exact copy of the OEM wheels that are not concave, but perhaps with slightly lower offsets, Augment Wheels in Canada will work with you to design a completely custom CAD designed 1 or 3 piece forged aluminum or magnesium for a fairly reasonable price per wheel.
There are several Forum posts on the Wheel Designer GS01 wheels. I planned to buy a set in gloss black, but had the opportunity to tour the Forgeline facility in Dayton, OH, and ended up spending a little more for a Forgeline set. There are a lot of GS01 owners (see Forum posts - Parts) that are very satisfied with these wheels. I do not believe the wheels are chromed, but rather highly polishes, but either way, they look have the OEM look, but are forged. Good luck in your decision.
