Towing a C7
Has anyone towed a C7 Stingray ( not a GS or Z06) with a U Haul trailer. Does it fit without potential damage? I have to pick up my car about 70 miles away.
Thanks for any help.

70 miles - why not just drive the car home? Have a buddy drive you to the car, treat him to gas money and a good dinner, and you’ll have a great return trip home.

I have done it several times on the C4. I haven't done a C7 yet but the C4 fit without any issues unless you decide to get stupid.
HERE is a story of someone who did it.

I hauled my GS with a U-Haul trailer with no issues. There was about a half inch between the rear tire and the edge of the trailer so your Stingray will obviously have more room. Need a level surface or extended ramps to get it up on the trailer though.
I also agree with just driving it back if possible. You could be halfway home by the time you get it loaded and strapped down.

Worst case scenario, if you can't find a friend or family to drive you the 70 miles, rent an economy car one way from Enterprise one way to car's location, drop the rental at a local Enterprise and drive the car home. The seller should be able to pick you up locally.

A recovery service wouldn't cost but a hundred, hundred fifty dollars. That'd save yourself a trip and a trailer rental. What's your time worth, is what it boils down to.

On any given car, I'd agree with you. This is a Corvette we are talking about and their owners tend to have a more "unique" mentality.
