Default Vacuum line tuck kit

Has anyone installed this kit? Worth it or just as easy to buy the appropriate hoses? Looks like you would heat and remove the factory fitting from the hard plastic lines and replace with the new hoses.

My car already had this done when I bought it, so I don't know how hard it was to install. But, it looks great! If it weren't done, I'd have done it. Looks much neater and well organized.

I bought the kit but I could not really use most of it as I had a catch can installed and what they provided really would not help. Just go to the auto parts store and buy a few feet of the various size hoses and avoid the Corvette tax!

Do you reuse the factory fittings, remove the hard plastic lines and then replace with the supplied hoses? Curious as to the process.

I searched older threads but none of them referenced the actual process used in replacing the lines. I would imagine the factory fittings would be reused but what is the process to separate them from the hard plastic lines?

Heat gun to soften them up? Just guessing...

I did mine, really easy you just use a new blade utility knife and you cut the ends off. They come off easy, just don't press too hard. It come with detailed instructions.

Thanks Wildhog, I got the kit and watched the video on YouTube. Had I known, one could just purchase the hoses from the local parts house and do it that way. Now I have a project for Saturday.

I re-routed breather hoses as well as the coolant host when I installed a CAI. Definitely worth it, cleans things up nicely.
I bought silicon hoses and spring clamps. The hoses fit over the nipples perfectly, didn't need to hack up the stock hoses except for the check valve at the radiator.
