Help with two levers in my C7
I have looked all through my owner's manual and cannot find out what the two levers on the floor beside each seat are for. There is a little colored pad on them but I cannot figure out what it is supposed to be. The handle has what looks like two wheels and an arrow pointing outwards next to the levers. Any idea what they are for?

They're the manual release for the door on each side. If the battery dies and you're in the car that's how you get out. Sit inside, pull the handle.

^ pull those levers and the door will open in the event of a power loss.

Yeah, "pull the handles" to activate the ejection seats! (but, remember to unhook the top first)

It’s a safety lever to open the door if you ever lose power. No big deal that’s what this forum is for. No question is dumb that’s how you learn. That question could saved your life. No joke either

I've been on several forums where people ask simple questions and normally get simple answers. I can see now that YouTube might be a better place to get answers than the Corvette forum. If I wanted snark and snide remarks I would not have asked any question. I am not thin-skinned but I don't understand the hostility to a question by a fellow car owner. Most of you gave me the answer but a couple of ******** had to make fun of the question. Why? Does being a smart *** make you feel big? I don't understand you and I hope I never meet people like you. Thank you to the guys who offered to help me out and the others can go to

Dude you are thin skinned. He was amazed at the question, but then answered it and showed you where to look in the manual. Maybe read the manual anyway? In case you aren't aware, the lever topic has been covered a million times. It's like asking where's the parking break or something. If you are embarrassed, then OK but you don't need to react that way.

There are mostly dependable folks on here, I have learned a lot since joining.
I have seen your question about the door levers several times, it always reminds me that when I bought my 2019 C7 the first Corvette I ever drove I asked the salesman, what the levers were for, had no clue, so you are not the only one that did not know about them.

Certain people have no tact or civility. Snark is the first reply out of their keyboard.
Sigh, sadly, snark is rude and there isn't a way to control the keyboard warriors from taking their impolite shots to newer folks on the forum.
Suggestion? IGNORE them. You received your answer with a picture and the text was concise and polite.
You will get a lot of information and answers in this forum and for the most part, the folks are polite and helpful. Key words, "most part".
Go with the flow, life's too short to hissy fit over nothing serious.

There is also a pulley cable in the rear driver side of the hatch area you can pull to open the driver side door in case you can't open the door if you are outside the car. As long as you can open the hatch you are in business.

People make fun of dumb comments/questions all the time on the internet. Just roll your eyes and move on with your life. The question made sense to you and you got your answer.
Spending your life correcting perceived slights online is mostly a waste of time. Trolls are doing it on purpose, other times it's just a question of perspective.

Why not just pull the lever to see what happens?

Max, as an airline pilot who has been on many different airplanes and many many ground schools on all of them, I learned that you NEVER pull or push anything if you don't know what they do. I knew it wasn't going to explode but wasn't sure if it might require some sort of reset that I did not know how to do. I did read my owner's manual but not knowing what they did, and not listing them under emergency items, I had no idea to look under windows and doors for the answer. I didn't know how to look up old comments on these levers since I didn't know what to call them. I got my answer and a lot of good advice. If I have any questions in the future, I will ask them and take the insults that apparently go with any answers. As for being "Thin-skinned", I'm not normally, but to join a forum of like-minded guys and their love of their cars it was unexpected to hear some of the snarky comments. This forum has helped me buy my new C7 and I wouldn't have done it without the info I have received from you guys.

Google C7 floor levers... 1st hit links back to this forum. I use the google search more then the forums because it gives all the threads from this forum in a much easier to search & read format.

OP, it's difficult if not impossible to always correctly interpret the tone of internet conversations if you don't know or are unfamiliar with whoever is operating the responding keyboard.
I've never met 96GS#007, but having read a number of his posts, I don't label him as a snarky troll. I'd interpret his initial comment (which has since been amended, in case you haven't seen it) as a sort of bemused disbelief at the question, not as an insulting challenge to anyone's knowledge.
There are a couple of posters I can think of who will respond with some flack, for whatever reason. If I've been able to figure them out, you will, too.
Please stick around the C7 forum; we're really very helpful, and can probably learn something from you, as well.

It's a good question; glad you got the right answer. In the six years of my ownership, I've read two news articles where the Corvette driver died inside on a hot summer day, "because the battery died." Not only didn't they know to pull the floor lever, it didn't occur to them to remove the top (if a coupe) and climb out. No such luck with C7 convertible. I appreciate the "never push or pull" advice. Fortunately my naivete never resulted in a serious problem.
