The weather is rainy in Havasu right now so that is not good for sightseeing or pictures.😡

Nice! I'm going to the summer nationals in vegas next month. My first retirement trip. I may stay a couple weeks and do some house shopping. Maybe hit Texas and Arizona too. 27 days of working life left. I made it

Sounds like a good plan to me. Just remember it gets hot in Vegas. Enjoy your retirement!

Just did 6k miles on my bike in 15 days, 15 states. Rode the strip in Vegas and got out of town. Not a crowd person.

Love your pics though, keep 'em comin'!

I don’t blame you, I don’t like crowds either. The traffic in Vegas is getting crazy. I was glad to leave.

These are from last year at the Peekaboo Slot canyon.

If you travel back home at night, be careful; there has been lots of commercial truck "debris" on the interstates.
I hit some in the dark in the mountains in Colorado. Some seriously nasty stuff.

Be safe, post lots of pictures.

Thanks, even in the daytime the road gators as I call them can be dangerous. I am too old to drive at night with cataracts starting to hinder my night vision. Plan to get that fixed soon. My biggest problem is I 40 being so beat up.

If you haven't left Sedona yet and prefer Interstates to US highways, an alternate to I-40 is to drop down to Phoenix on I-17 and pick up I-10 through TX. I hope you had time to zip over to Jerome while you were in AZ.
You could also avoid I-40 construction in NM by taking dropping down in Holbrook to US 60 and picking it back up again in Amarillo. Be sure to stop for pie in Pie Town NM right on the AZ/NM border.
However you go, be sure to enjoy the trip and "See the USA in your Chevrolet" (Dinah Shore) Corvette.

We didn’t make it to Jerome this time but we did go ride the Verde Canyon Railroad. We got free tickets by going to one of those time share sales pitches. I already own time shares so it is easy to tell them no.😁
