weathertech floorliners are the be-all-end-all aftermarket floor accessory, IMHO. not sure what problem you're trying to solve, but the floorliner will probably solve it.

Drifting
The former show no wear, so they'll be good for the life of the car. The latter show no wear because they never have shoes/feet on them, so they'll also last the life of the car.

Melting Slicks
I have Lloyd LUXE carpet mats in my 2017 GS. No heel pad, but still look new after 6 years and 24k miles.
If I was going non-carpeted mats, I'd go with these:
