Default Front Center Air Dam rubber

I destroyed my front center air dam on my 19 G. Did not know I had one as on my 15 Z51 it was a delete. Would like to know the engineering and why needed or not needed. Rubber piece and cheap by Corvette standards but what are the aerodynamic improvements?

Well worth the $100. Six screws and done. I even did it myself. Torn three inches from the right. Since it assists with air flow and cooling it's worth it.

Ask the dealer parts counter guy what his best price is. He may get close to the online dealer especially once shipping is taken into account. When ordering from your local dealer you don't have to pay for shipping.

What kind of screws (or part#) hold on the two Z51 front air dams. My car did not have them, and I plan to add them. Air dam does not come with the screws.

Z51 was OEM without the center piece. Base model and non upgraded aero GS and Z06 does. Any body shop or dealership has the screws

I read that the Z51 does not have the center piece because it has an aluminum motor shield that eliminates the need for the center air dam.
