$500 for muffler delete?
Trying to get a muffler delete for my C7 Stingray and I was quoted $500 which I think is ridiculous 😭
I was wondering how much anyone who’s gotten a muffler delete has paid thank you!

With the price of labor and materials today, perhaps 500 bucks is about right. It's not just a muffler delete. Sections of both exhaust systems must be removed and pipe refitted/welded to replace the mufflers. And then of course it all has to be refitted back to its designed location.

Check some pre fab catback deletes out there that are bolt on and do not require welding and less labor.
It would look more stock, but the price would probably be the same if not more.

$500 seems very reasonable. That is, presumably, inclusive of the four tips, the alignment of them, all that...
In case you're unaware, if you have NPP you'll get just about exactly the same result if you just open the valves.

And $500 sounds pretty reasonable as that's about what I paid for mine with new tips.

Consider this. What is the labor rate around your area like? If you still think it is ridiculous, go get the appropriate tools and DIY.

FWIW, NPPs with my catless Corsa xpipe work well for me personally

On my C4 I had Borla Stingers on a 383. Tried no cat. OMG. After a bit, I gave up and got a cat. Couldn't do much about the exhaust since we had money tied up in it and it would not die. One day, it came loose and caught itself on a track. Got insurance and bought a Corsa. Finally could hear myself think. C7 is so much quieter. Might be fun for a while and even for a short ride on Sunday. Daily drive it and it gets old. Sad thing was that back then, we had to put up with some noise for the performance. Today, we don't have to put up with as much. OTOH, the ricers and kids still encourage the "Noise equals power" thing.

I deleted the mufflers on my C6 and I used to get compliments on it all the time. Not ridiculously loud like people seem to think and sounded way better than my C7.

if it included new tips I’d be more than happy paying that but it’s just for the muffler delete😭

right so if they're cutting off the tips of your stock exhaust replacing the cans with pipes to connect the tips to the remaining part of the exhaust, they'll need to tee two pipes into four tips and make sure they align at the rear.
that's a non-trivial amount of work.
$500 is a great price for that.

I believe I paid $200 2-3 years ago so definitely things have changed.

I looked at a 2015 when I was shopping for my next C7 that stock had a NPP at one point but was replaced by a Corsa that was not NPP and the car was stupid loud for everyday driving.
Great for attention but very unpractical around town.
So I can only imagine was straight pipes would do...
Go hear one before you do yours and I am not talking about YouTube sound bytes . Your neighbors may not like you after you do it.
My new to me 2014 has NPP and the sound management is perfect IMHO.
