New to me 2014 Stingray. Took a minute.
Back story:
I have been dealing with Carmax with a certain budget. They have been wonderful.
First attempt was to get a 2015 Z51 MN7 but after it arrived, it had title issues and they could not sell it. So off into the sunset it went.
In the second attempt, I found this one, a 2014 Stingray 2LT auto with 60k miles. It pretty much has everything but Nav. No big deal.
They called and said they cannot sell this one either after it arrived . They said the interior was not up to their standard.
Texas car all its life, The center arm rest was wrinkled ( I had a new one here from my last C7 so it got fixed), door panels had few bubbles, and the leather seats were dry cracked but no rips.
I told them considering the price, that I would accept it so they agreed to sell and they refunded me my transfer fees.
I have since sourced the panels and the seat covers for not much money. Under 1k for all.
Drama continues with the test drive. It slightly overheated (that was fixed by burping the system) and the rear diff had a small whine at 70MPH or higher.
The rear diff was completed replaced, which took a week, and the car is now mechanically flawless but I still bought a 4 year MaxCare warranty just in case.
I finally got to pick it up and I absolutely love it.
Took a minute with all the drama, but CarMax was awesome to deal with. Upfront with everything.

I've never seen a front end painted like that. I like it!
Much like you, I'd look for the silver lining in the situaion. They were happy to get rid of the car and you saw a deal for a nice car with a bit of elbow grease. I'd be smiling as well. Nice car!!

I don't hate it but it wouldn't be something I would do.
I think it was painted when a Z06 grill was installed.
Different for sure.
it has the stage 2 rear spoiler and the side skirts all in carbon flash.
Just missing the front splitter. It's on the to do list.

I like the Z06 grill. He also painted the nose part of the bumper black right under the grill. First time I have seen anyone do that.
I don't hate it. It makes the grill look bigger. Not sure if good or bad.
