Default C7 electronics/radio/memory seats

JUST PICKED IT UP WEDS. Z51, 32000 MILES , 7 SPEED IN MINT CONDITION WITH A FULL BODY PAINT PROTECTION WRAP AND A TON OF OPTIONS

HI ALL , JUST PICKED UP MY 13TH VETTE . I LOVE IT. TIGHT. COMFY AND FAST! MY PROBLEM IS I'M NOT USED TO THE ELECTRONICS COMPARED TO THE C5 . (NONE) I HAVE ACCESSED THE FULL MENU, GONE IN TO THE VEHICLE SETTING AND SELECTED AND TURNED BOTH MEMORY SEAT AND EASY EXIT FUNCTIONS ON. THEN RESET MY ADJUSTMENTS ON THE DOOR BUT NOT HAVING ANY LUCK. ALSO SETTING UP THE RADIO IS ANOTHER NEAR IMPOSSIBLE FEAT IN 100 + DEGREE WEATHER. OTHER THAN THAT THE DIFERENCE BETWEEN THE C5 AND 7 ARE NIGHT AND DAY. NOT TO MENTION SPORT AND TRACK MODES.
. CAR FAX WAS CLEAN SHOWING FIRST OWNER (name plate on dash) FROM VERMONT THEN it WOUND UP HERE IN FLORIDA.. WHERE I SCOOPED IT UP INSTANTLY. HAPPY MOTORING......

When setting the seat & mirror memory you need to hold "Set" and #1 button together until you hear a beep.

Default Memory package

Hi duckvete, the directions were followed to the t. I got the mirrors to dip in reverse but no luck with the driver side memory. Nothing appeared to be set up so i scrolled thru and did my thing. Just stuck on the most important one
Getting in an Out and seat setting. Didn't know if there might b a relay or control box that needs attention.

When setting the seat memories remember don’t have the seat all the way back. If you need more room take seat all the way back but move it forward a 1/2 inch. Then set memory buttons and hold until you hear the peep!

Reggie looks like he’s ready to go cruising !

Might check out YouTube There is a girl named Ginger that does a great video on the memory seats and a lot of other features on the C7 . Just do a search C7 “memory seat “and her video should appear.

You have to press memory and the either position 1-2 2 times and you’ll hear a beep. Not hold till hear beep. FYI.

Ok, went on you tube followed gingers instructions to a t. (It's not much harder than changing a light bulb) did it 4 times. No change. I'm wondering if there is a relay and if anyone knows.

Press SET then within 2 seconds press and hold the position you want to save to ("1" or "2") until you hear the 2 beeps.

try going to settings, and turn off seat memory. then repeat your setting at the door. go back into dash setting and turn memory back on.

Default C7. Memory seats

Ginger on you tube does a clear demonstration of how to program the seats for which i followed several times. Rechecking with some of the replies ive gotten and tried their way as well.
The only way it operates is by holding the button in til its in the set position of the button selected. would it be unlikely to have an in line device that operates at the tap of a button ???

it would be a good idea to replace the batteries, and when programming a seat position have only the fob for that position in range.

Not sure why you do not think it is working but....

I did not think mine was working either. It turned out I was not 'recalling' the memorized setting correctly. If I recall correctly (correct me if I am wrong) you need to press and hold one of the numbered buttons for a second or three.

I had problems getting the seats setup in my car, too. The video @Bill Dearborn posts explains everything you need to know in great detail.
Best of luck getting everything setup.

Congratulations on the new2u Corvette convertible
Beautiful color and color combination.

Easy access on a M7 doesn't work if the e-brake is not set. Seats will move back when exiting but will not move forward when pressing the start button. Could that be the problem?

Default C7 memory issues

I've been on gingers site. Awesome demonstration. Here's what i just experienced this AM. when i opened my door the exit function pushed the seat back for easy exit. When i returned to the car and opened it from the exterior the seat slid forward to one of my settings, which makes for a tight entry . .But doesn't happen at the touch of a button if i went to position 2 . You have to hold it. ( I have a 22 Aviator and the seat settings were easy peasy like it should be.) I'm sure if i keep trying the process i'll get it. Which is what I'm about to do.

One thing I found out is to make sure you have both keys programmed properly. If you are the only driver of the car make sure both are programmed to your settings. It is hard to tell the difference between Key 1 and Key 2.

Check settings under vehicle, it will either active when you open the door or at Ignition on, or not a all depending on the settings…there are 2 places in the vehicle settings one for easy exit and one for the memory recall..

Not sure this will help. In the Ginger video after you do all the seat steering wheel settings for exit she mentions going back in to setting on screen and tapping when ignition on not when door opens . Wondering if you didn’t tap ignition on. Or maybe you tapped when door opening by mistake.

Basically same thing above post I was looking at Gingers video and then typing when he posted.
