Need new tires for my 2014
I decided I am going with the Michelin AS due the cold here in spring and fall. So would you guys be comfortable using Discount Tire, they did a great job on my 99, but that was 14 years ago.
Thanks, Jeff
Thanks, Jeff

DT did a perfect install and balance of four new Michelin AS tires on our 2015 in November. Highest rating from me.

Discount installed tires on my 2014 just fine. As with any chain, it depends on your store. But our local one is top notch.

I wish there was a DT near me in New York. There are several near my house in San Antonio and they are awesome! Well trained, professional, promote from within, and fair pricing. I’ve used them many times over the last 10 years. Originally, I bought my tires from tirerack.com and had them shipped to me and I would take them to DT for mounting and balancing. They asked my why and now meet and often beat TR and do a great job. I strongly recommend Discount Tire.

@G-lock we are here on the forum to assist our members with their tire/wheel needs. Shooting a P.M. your way.
@Factoid ironically, Tire Rack and Discount Tire are now partners. In fact, our Corvette forum members can order from TR and have them shipped to the Discount Tire location of there choice for install. How cool is that?

Discount installed 4 new Z06 chrome wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 a year ago.
Process went perfectly.
they also installed alloy wheels and tires that i purchased from Tire Rack on my Mini a year ago.
they also honored a warranty claim and replaced worn tires on my wife's Cherokee last week.
obviously,
local stores quality differs from location to location,
but i have no problems with them.
AND
the above was performed at different stores.

Yep, agree with using Discount Tire. Got the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires and new TPMS done by them on 04/09/2022. No complaints. If you're a veteran, don't forget to get that discount too. Good luck!

DT is the only store I use for tires. You don't mess with people that do the stuff right.

Used them for decades until recently when I got my last tires at Costco. Discount is great place in general and can handle your needs, but some stores are better than others. Be prepared for them to try and sell you every add-on they can or a more expensive tire than what you know you want. It can get annoying, but it depends on the store. I even worked there 30 years ago for a short time.

Not sure Ive ever read a negative review on DT. The fact that they are active in the forum demonstrates customer service.

Absolutely. They have been my go-to tire store for the past 15 years (for a daily driver truck, my previous C6, Porsche and now C7). Only caveat I can give is to make sure you take pics of your rims prior to them rolling your car into the garage, as well as confirm they have lifting pucks, or loan them yours. On my Porsche, they scratched two of the rims on the mounting machine and I didn't have visual proof that the rims weren't scratched beforehand.
As for the tires, I have Michelin Pilot Sport AS on my '14 Stingray. Love them. They give me all the traction I can use in the dry and are great in the wet (what little I drive in the rain). I don't need an Ultra-High Performance tire and the AS is definitely a Performance tire, and one that you can use in the winter (while the Summer Tire guys have their cars in the garage due to the cold temps!).

That's because you never read mine. The Discount Tire by me (about 5 years ago) was run by incompetent 20-something-year-olds. I now only use a local family-run tire shop that has been in business for over 50 years. Everyone there is highly trained and experienced. I actually used that tire shop when I was a kid, back in the 70's and 80's.....but got swayed by newer national tire dealers.

@Bayshore Vette we are sorry that our store representative did not take advantage of our Low Price Promise to adjust the price to beat the competitor.

No reason not to use Discount Tire for the purchase and work on your car. They have a very good reputation on the forum.
