What Shall I Offer?? 17', GS, 24K miles, 1LT, 1 Owner

I had this same dilemma in January. I went with a 2019 z51. Though to be honest after shopping around I had no interest in a GS. The whole widebody and extra ducts just doesn't do anything for me. I was also picky about color, I didn't want white or black and really wanted the Long Beach Red with spice red interior. I got Long Beach Red with a black interior. Oah, also wanted a stick. That was non-negotiable. I found one with under 4k miles and I am the 3rd owner. I also was lucky enough to find one that didn't have mag ride. After issues with the mag ride on my 2018 Denali I really didn't want to go down that route again. There are lots of these cars out there configured all kinds of ways, figure out what you must have and what would be nice to have then start looking. With so may guys trading in barely used C7s to buy C8's with a bit of patience you should be able to find what you want.
I found the car 1300 miles away, cashed in some airline miles flew out and drove it back (2 days total fly+drive) The car was nearly perfect when I picked it up in NC and drove it back to Dallas. 4 months later and I'm still very happy with my decision, though an unfortunate incident with a power gate last weekend has put a damper on my excitement over the car it's still awesome. I also drove a C8 and while it's a cool car that certainly looks much more exotic than my lowly C7 the car just didn't do anything for me.

I've read many comments over the years here but that's the first for that one. You will probably do better deciding for yourself.

My brother recently purchased a Boxster and although it is a much smaller car, it has significantly more space around the occupants - and is a whole different beast to throw around corners than the C7. Maybe that's something to consider.

It's interesting that you mention the width as an issue, because I feel the same way with my non-GS Stingray. It takes up the whole lane and definitely changes the way I use the road (when driven aggressively) vs. on my Ducati, or even my parent's Miata. I wouldn't expect the couple inches of a GS over a Stingray would make much of a difference, so presumably you're also not in the Stingray market.

That's just what the Corvette world needs. More Porsches and their "german engineering" on the road.

Is Porsche engineered sportscar concerned about GM..? No
One's concern should be is the local GM wrench worth a damn!

At 2017, the level of Quality/Extras does NOT matter if you need to sell it/trade it. The same with my 2017 GS Collector's Edition, unless your a Vette nut, a vette is a vette, once it passes 5-6 years old.
I'd get the 2019 if you think about needing to sell in 2-5 years.
Keep it forever, the GS is still the best ride.

Need Your Advice, Several Questions
I posted a thread for rare colors on line last month, great answers and Thank You. I found a very popular color on line and want to know what I should offer to start and where I should settle.
What would you offer? Anybody buy 17' GS lately?
And the worst part is my wife says when I show her the pictures, I'd drive that!! She does not drive my C5 artic white now and I've had it 10 years. My C5 looks sharp and so does the "maybe" C7.Going to the dealer tomorrow.
Another dilemma, the cost is equal to buying a 2019 regular corvette (non grand sport)? Same miles. What would you buy??????
