I’m not ready to spend that kind of money yet though so I’ll keep calling them for a while. I’m about ready to write Mary Barra and the rest of the GM board of Directors (for whatever good it will do) because in addition to Chevy screwing up my Navigation Unit, my MultiPro tailgate on my 2022 GMC Sierra hasn’t worked since October, and I had two cars that fell victim to the terrible 8 speed transmission problems. One being my Stingray which the triple flush actually has seemed to have held up so far (knock on wood) however I had a Cadillac CTS that the triple flush didn’t help the shifting whatsoever and it had such a dangerous hesitation from a stop that I had to get rid of it $$$👎. I guess I’m venting but I’m not particularly happy with GM products right now and the navigation problem isn’t helping.

I am sure GM is working as hard on this NAV update as they are on releasing the 2019 Corvette Service Manual!

Same here. I should have left it alone and not tried to update it again.

I have been hesitant to load the 2022 upgrade from the horrific problems with the 2023 upgrade
Did you have any problems with the upgrade? I have a 2016

I still had my 2022 upgrade (I think that was the year) and tried that after the 2023 fiasco. It didn’t work. The nav unit has been totally erased of all data thanks to the 2023 dud. The way I see it the only way to get my navigation working again is for Chevy (HERE) to to provide the proper engineered flash drive which will reinstall the navigation data needed or, a new navigation unit. The latter of which would be like pulling teeth to get Chevy to provide. That said, I certainly feel that Chevy has an obligation to fix what they broke!

If my NAV was made non-functional from the bad map update, I believe I would contact the companies that specialize in module upgrades to add NAV to a non-NAV car. Explain what happened. They *might* be able to reprogram your module to make it functional again. Worth a shot.

Is "HERE" not able to make this right?

Sounds like its 100% GMs fault but not enough people bought the 2023 upgrade for GM to fix it. Get a lawyer.

I assume that you are joking however, if you’re serious about Chevy/GM giving in to someone’s attorney it would be cheaper (and a more definitive outcome) to buy a new nav unit.

My 2019 connects to my home Wi-Fi, if hardware is needed to update; what's the point of connecting to Wi-Fi?

I updated my 2015 to the latest version (P/N 86792680) sometime last year with no issues. Looking at the current out-of-stock inventory for that part and P/N 86792681 for 2016-2019 version 2.5 Nav Systems I suspect there may be no more updates for the C7 Nav systems. That is the biggest problem with using Factory provided Nav Systems the OEM loses interest in updating older systems and would rather sell you a new car.
