Thanks for all the replies. Talked with the previous owner who said that he had a mice problem over 2 years ago in his other car, but thought he saved the vette. He went on a arradication period and hadn't seen any evidence of mice since, but never looked at the cabin filter. I found zero indication that they are still around.

They may be getting the material from the seats. Are you sitting on the floor?

It's also a potential heads-up for putting appropriate pest deterrence wherever we "store" our vehicles.

A friend of mine bought a low mileage C-6 , real beauty and when I did the inspection on it , he said , no worries the dealer did a 150 point inspection on it and it was all good. I heard that before so I went to the filters . haha he went back to the dealer and had a chat with them. R

Ah, I've seen this before...the trouble was that the dealer previously performed 151 point inspections, but in order to save time and cut costs, they backed off to inspecting only 150 points. Which inspection point did they drop off? Yep, you guessed it!
