Default Injector cleaner

Anyone run any kind of fuel injection cleaner like Sea Foam or….? How often should the injectors or fuel systems in general be cleaned/serviced?

i have used Techron in all my vehicles, highly rated, however,
unless your injectors NEEDed to be cleaned
you probably won't notice any difference.

I use a gasoline that has injector cleaner in the gas. I've never had an injector plug up since I've been driving FI cars. I just don't see how those injector cleaner manufacturers have been able to stay in business without me using their products.

Your owner's manual recommends using Delco Fuel System Cleaner (re-labeled Techron) once a year, unless you're using Top Tier gas regularly.

99% of my fuel is from Costco
which is Top Tier,
so i probably wasted my money buying the Techron.
oh well

I use Redline fuel system cleaner before each oil change, which is about once year.

I have never tried it on these injectors yet so I don't know. The Bosch style injectors do pick up some varnish that I can see. I have gotten the before and after results from FIC which I verified on an actual injector bench. There was some build up that got cleaned by FIC and others like them. Also it gets the basket filter changed

If you are NOT being facetious, the answer is simple. Cheap snake oil and people will say "What have I got to lose?" so they buy it. If they feel a difference, they will be back. If not, there are more suckers down the line. They don't have to make a ton of money off each one. Easier to milk the suckers by volume, of which there are plenty.

Thanks for all the responses. I don’t expect to feel or hear a difference. The goal is to keep them clean regularly so there is no difference. I normally use a “top tier” fuel but I’m sure there will be times when the first station I see gets my business. I will throw some Techron down the pipe once or so a year. At worst it probably does no harm, at best it does what it promises.

An additional benefit reported in several Techron threads is that it helps keep the fuel quantity sending unit clear of sulfur, which causes erroneous readings...

another vote for Techron , plan to do it once a year prior to oil change
I mostly use shell 93, still use it for maintenance purposes.
I bought a few Chevron Techron Concentrate Plus, 10 oz bottles, i need to recheck my supply.
appears the price like everything else went up drastically to double what I paid 2 years ago.

Gasoline does a good job for me without any snake oils.

Nope, I don't believe I need the techron to keep my injectors clean.

I don't know yet. I know my L98 style injectors pick up varnish based on the before flow numbers compared with the after cleaning flow numbers. I will test the GDI injectors and see when the time comes. At this point, I will know, not believe or guess.

I am required to have a use for little plastic funnel once a year to keep plastic in good condition and properly justify it's position in my Corvette's cubby compartment.

I thought it was a training beer funnel for people who start drinking?
