Default Ok Probably a Dumb Question

I was looking over the window sticker for my 2015 3LT coupe and the very last item listed before the Total Options is Rear Fascia Protector for $95.00. The RPO code for this option is VTB and according to the Order Guide it is listed as; NEW! LPO, Rear fascia protector, Genuine Corvette Accessory.
Anyone know exactly what this is?

We've always used one of those in every Corvette, we call it the "Diaper".
Helps protect rear sill when loading-unloading luggage.
Some are like a soft quilted blanket, some are flexible plastic.
The soft ones are easier to store and don't get stiff in cold weather. Easier to flip forward to hide luggage.
The plastic ones don't blow out of place on a windy day as you load the luggage.

Not a bad option to have - really does protect the back portion of the car from scratches.

There is a link in the in the first reply to my question. This RPO seems to only show in the Order Guide.

Since there are several versions, you can google for Corvette rear bumper protector and see several pictures.
Our quilted cloth one was originally in our C6, but fit just fine in our C7. When it started to wear out, I ordered another one and it was described as fitting C6 and C7.
Since the plastic ones are stiffer, there might be a difference.

The flip over the rear sill area blanket/pad/cover has saved my Vette from scrapes a lot.

After some issues with the delivery of my car GM provided $1000 toward the purchase of accessory items. One of the ones I chose was this protector. It is a nice idea but more of a PIA that takes up space in the cargo compartment when you have the Stage 3 Aero package rear spoiler. It's actually easier to put stuff in the cargo compartment from the side VS over the rear spoiler so the protector has been relegated to my garage.

^^^^^
A good point.
Having used both types, I've found that the quilted fabric version is much easier to store than the plastic version, especially in (stiff) cold weather.
We have the cargo net at the back of our trunk and easily stuff the protector between the cargo net and rear wall of the trunk for storing, it basically disappears.

I just use a black towel that I keep in the back. Many uses.
