Would you sell your C7 for the new E Vette?

Nope keeping my 2015. I like a manual trans and look of the C7

Well I have a 2023 Z06 on order and now a 2024 E-ray. I am keeping my C7Z because it's a gorgeous vehicle that will never be matched. Nothing wrong with owning multiple Vettes.

When the complexity of a vehicle exceeds my comfort levels in terms of maintenance and repair it becomes exceedingly expensive to own off warranty. Electrical motors and batteries are beyond my comfort level, and owning one of these machines in warranty is beyond my financial means.
I wouldn't pay $100k to trade my C7 M7 for a C8 E-Ray, because of what $100k is worth to me. If money were no issue, I'd have both a C7 M7 and a C8 E-Ray (and a Z06 with that fantastic cross-plane engine...).
If money were no issue, and I had to pick one or the other, I'd have to drive the C8 before making a decision.

Me neither but that is $120K new so depending on your car, it should not be your car plus 100K
I would like to see what the LT2 engine does and how this hybrid works out so maybe used C9 but probably not a C8 since I don't want to buy a mid generation thing that isn't supported later on.

Yes, except for the $$$
It is the best GT model, street and country rode driving.
It has All-season tires.
Standard performance brakes. Standard Mag-ride.
I never track my car.
The E-ray has a less-stiff suspension, not the same as the Z06. Perfect for me.
The new E-Ray and Z06 are absolute best for money sports cars.
I live for short acceleration moments, perfect!

Nope. Got a C8 on order. C7 is the last of the front engine and manual transmission, so I'm hanging on to my Grand Sport.

Nope for two reasons: my GS is a M7 and it’s 100% paid for. Not in mood for a new monthly car loan payment that is equivalent to a mortgage.

I'm interested in the E-ray for what it's potential performance is going to be but at this time have little interest in owning one. I have a '16 Z51 (non magride) auto 'vert and a '23 HTC. I admire and appreciate both equally for different reasons. I have no plans to sell/trade the C7 because as we all know they're just a blast to drive and they're definitely no slouch in the performance department. The very same thing can be said for the C8 as well.
I'd like to know the percentage of C7 owners that constantly Poo-Poo the C8 (because it doesn't have a traditional manual transmission) that have actually driven a C8. Not some little test drive, but have really taken it on some nice twisties and put their right foot down. I'm guessing not too many. Chevy had about reached the maximum they could do with a front engine/rear drive car. The new mid engine design enhances acceleration and the handling is amazing. I'm curious as to just how much better the E-ray will be in both categories.
Does anyone here know who Zora Duntov was? You know, the guy that was advocating for a mid engined Corvette around SIXTY years ago? For anyone to complain that the C8 isn't a "real" Corvette is a slap in the face of Zora's vision for what he believed was the future of the brand. It's finally here. I think he'd be damn proud of what it's become and he'd embrace the E-ray for the increased performance.

No thanks. The base price is way too high for me. I’ll never spend over 100K on a car. My C7 was a stretch but this one will end up being double the cost with options and tax.

[QUOTE=Omniprime;1606174539] I’m extremely bias towards the C7 because the C7 Z06 was my dream car for the longest time until the C7 ZR1 came out, so my answer is a definite no.
However, even as second corvette, the E-RAY (or any C8 for that matter) would never make it to my list, mostly because (unpopular opinion incoming) I simply don’t see the corvette in that C8 anymore. It has truly embodied the very essence of “cheap man’s Ferrari”. The car has an identity crisis. I’d get a true Ferrari in the form of a 458 Italia over any of the C8s any day of the week.]
I think you missed the point of the C8. The C8 is a more affordable alternative to and also a competitor to the 458 Italia. The Italia is arguably one of the best Ferraris ever made, so bench marking it when developing the C8 is/was a good thing, and the extremely high demand for the C8 and the ZO6 prove that Chevrolet made a smart move. After all,the main purpose of a car manufacturer is to make a profit, both short-term and long-term, for their shareholders.
