Default Engine and exhaust upgrade

I’m considering doing some upgrades to my ‘16 Z51 M7. I realize that whatever I do is likely a sunk cost. But curious if there is any ROI at all. Does name of the upgrade matter? For example, if I did a Lingenfelter package over something else, would I get more back in the long run? I’ve always stayed stock, so this is new to me. Looking at this one in particular.

Lingenfelter Installed Packages/ Corvette/ C7 Corvette LT1 2014-16/ C7 Corvette Stingray 378 CID LT1 600 HP

TIA.

JMO, but if the work is done by one of the top tuners (Lingenfelter, Callaway, etc.), the chance of getting a higher percentage of your initial cost back should you sell is a distinct possibility How much more is debatable, but quality work is appreciated.

Why not just buy a C7 Z06? You will have the power and be able to recoup a large part of the cost?

i see that you are in Dallas, why not take it to 21st Century Muscle Cars in Addison? I usually deal with Matt over there, and if you read their "About Us" page, you will see one of the owners is Kerri Lingenfelter..

as far as ROI, not much unless you sell the car to someone who wants the same mods, even then you wont get hardly anything back

Appreciate the responses.
I don’t need 600hp, but definitely want a little lump and more sound. Will look at more economical options for that.

Hey Travlee
Your car sounds like it has some very big *****. I tried a soler throttle enchanter that was way more then I needed.I just don't have the need for speed like I use to.. I am happy just getting pushed back in the seats a little these days

Nobody really needs that power....but WE WANT.

Was talking to Matt last Saturday when getting oil change, she might go under the knife again for larger tb and msd intake manifold

I got a deal on a C5 several years ago. I found a pre-owned, never installed A&A kit for the car. I took it for a tune and had a bad cat so I bought inexpensive headers/x pipe & had them install. I think I was at $6,500 or so. I sold it about a year later. I priced it $2,000 above what I paid for just the car and it sold quickly. I lost $4,500 but maybe I priced it too cheap. It was a bad idea to modify and sell so quickly. My wife didnt like the car. Headers and mangaflow in an A4 trans convertible was a little much. Now I have a C7. I'm going to have a shop install Texas Speed headers, xpipe, plug wires and a black A&A for a bit over $10k. The install wouldn't be hard but I'm going to let them do it. I could pull the supercharger off and recoup maybe $3,500?? for a loss of $7,500 if I wanted to sell. I'd probably just price it up $2k-$3k and see if I could get out with a $7k-$8k loss. The Lingenfelter supercharger package is $14k. That's $4k more than mine. I'll have 550 rwhp, you'll have? Maybe 520 hp? I'm guessing installed headers from Lingenfelter would be $3,000+. Now you are at $17k + tax. You might even hit $20k total. Of course your supercharger probably cost $1,500 more than mine. You'd be at least $8k more to get the horsepower I'm getting for $10k. You would have more low end power. I don't think you could recoup that much more money than me, but that's just my guess. You would certainly have more money tied up.

If you’re in Dallas, 21st and AMP are in your area. Check out their websites, email them and figure out what you want to do with the car and go from there.
