Be safe out there - flooded roads can be extremely dangerous. Hopefully the flooding subsided quickly and there is no damage to your property.

I wouldn't trust going through any standing water with any vehicle in flood conditions. You just never know how deep it is and what it will do to your vehicle. Taking off work until it's clear is easier than dealing with a flood damaged vehicle.

After realizing that I'm just not that important and things could actually wait another day I learned to stay home when the weather gets extreme.

Luckily for me , its a beautiful sunny day now and the puddles are evaporating faster with the help of the sun. I should get to work just fine! Need that Double Time and a Half!

I'm on double time and a half right now.

I'd take an Uber so his car gets flooded.

I saw a pickup truck drive in reverse through a flooded street so that the bed would absorb the impact of water first, it appeared to work from what I could tell, at least once anyway.

From what I've been seeing on the news you need a boat, not a daily driver. Situations arise that take precedence over work; accept and adapt as necessary. Be safe, in any event.

I'm guessing he inherited his money. If he earned it, it would likely mean he had a brain, in which case it never happened.
