Default My New C7 2014

I recently purchased this and so happy to have it. I have owned so many Corvettes over the years......this one is by Far the Best one I owned

I am enjoying the ride and the 3LT options and Competition seats and Carbon fiber roof

Love the Options 3 LT and Competition seats and Carbon fiber top

I am not sure if I am in the right topic area to ask this: What can I use on the Rubber mouldings( around the doors and the roof so they dont dry up. Lithium grease? Thanks

I use baby oil.

I have a 2014 torch red base 3LT and it's our only car. I put aftermarket ZO6 chrome wheels on it and it really made a difference. Just had paint correction and ceramic put on and it really shines.

Get out and drive it, can't imagine driving anything else.

Congrats on the purchase of your 2014 - I hope you get many trouble free miles from the car. I also have a 2014 and yes, it is a fantastic car.

As far as what to use on the weatherstripping, I use a natural silicone lubricant that I purchased at a local body shop to help keep the weatherstripping in good condition. Others have used dielectric grease.

Go with the '303' products, they have always been top shelf. No need to spend lots of money on rubber dressing.

I've used Armor All successfully for several decades for this on all our vehicles, including my C3, C5 and now C7.

Nice ride!!
Ditto the 303 rubber protectant... Silicone/dielectric grease is messy beyond reason, and Murphy's law says it will get where you don't want it to go.
My top squeaked and I tried the silicone grease, but after cleaning up the silicone leftovers, the next application was three coats of the 303 rubber protectant. Good for six months.

nice and welcome!
the manual calls for: Weatherstrip Conditioning Weatherstrip Lubricant (GM Part No. 3634770, in Canada 10953518) or Dielectric Silicone Grease (GM Part No. 12345579, in Canada 10953481).
I havent looked into getting anything for mine yet, but i would go with what the others are talking about with the 303 product.

Congrats on new ride. Like my 2014 Stingray. Base model 1LT M7 with a Billy Boat exhaust. All that I need! Good luck!

Red and black is my favorite color combo. What rims are those?
