Default Seat cover clips - anyone sourced these?

My driver side seat back cover has come loose and it seems many of the clips are missing or were never there. Yes, I carefully follow the entry/exit procedure. In spite of that it has come off.

Local Chevy dealers have little to no stock and it shows to be nationally backordered. Google has not yielded alternate sources yet....

Part number? Have you looked in a junk yard?

You may be able to find the clips by contacting the forum’s used parts vendors or perhaps a vendor like Cultrag Performance.

How can something like this be backorderd? I mean really how many people are trying to source these clips. Stuff like this is just frustrating.

I can't think of any salvage place that would break down a perfectly good seat just to sell you a few cents worth of clips.

I don't see where GM lists this as a separate part either.

have you contacted a local upholstery shop to see if they have something that would work? Maybe hog rings would work

What's even more frustrating is there is a part 37 in the seat diagram. Under that is 3 different part numbers and quantities of each needed.

I find sites that say they have them and then orders get cancelled as obsolete or backordered with no stock date.

Time to think alternatives. Maybe a wreck with a busted up seat.

A salvage yard with a flood car might be a source. Usually, the seats are ruined.

Looks like those clips are used on a variety of GM vehicles. Try contacting a body shop.

Hi Danny. I'm in the middle of a competition seat conversion for my C7 and I'm running into the same problem. I too need these retainer clips. Did you happen to find a source for them?

I can find those part numbers all over the web. However, I'm afraid, like you, to place orders only to find out days or weeks later that they're not available. Any help you can provide is very much appreciated. This is the only thing I need to finish this conversion.

How about small (mini) wire ties? That is what I used on my C6 seats instead of the hog rings they originally had.

I actually found a seller on ebay who had 4 (for a crazy price). I quickly purchased them. The seller sent them through regular USPS mail (no tracking number). They haven't arrived. According to USPS it should have been here 5 days ago. I have my fingers crossed that they magically show up since these retainer clips appear to be out of sock anywhere I look. Otherwise, I'll have to get VERY creative.

I'm open to any ideas, please .

I have not gone by there yet, but I called a dealer in LewisvilleTX who said they could order them, 6 week leadtime. Not sure if that's real or not....and they must be prepaid before they will order them

I found them here: GM 11546978 Retainer, genuine OEM part (oemcats.com)

This link gives a list of potential sources. I called several before I found anyone who said they could even order them.

I got my seat back together with the 2 clips I had left along with some double sided tape to hold the foam to the frame, and the seat cover to the foam so that any inadvertent contact wouldn't just pull on the vinyl alone. So far, it has all stayed together.

I changed the seat covers on my 2016 to try a different color.
The clips everyone is looking for were on my car. There were two on the driver side outboard
and none on the inboard side.
The passenger side had one outboard and none inboard.
When I put the original covers back on, I didn’t bother using the clips. They were a PITA to install
on the rubber tubing and kept popping off. I believe they were only around to keep the rubber tubing
from interfering with the side airbag deployment.
I didn’t re-install them. The seat covers are held into the frame via the tubing itself.
This was 2 years ago and the seat covers are fine and still holding tight.
No, I have no idea where the original clips are.
