Maps gone
I recently upgraded my I phone to 14 pro. I pared it to the radio but it will not show maps when I plug the phone in? My old IPhone 10 did, what am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanx! I have a 2019 2lt c7.

Sorry, I have a Galaxy 21 Ultra and do not have any knowledge on how IPHONE's work. Maybe, the two phones have different power requirements and you need a current connector?

My guess would be the phones are using different versions. 14 operating on the newest update. Probably stuck until Apple makes an update to fix that bug. Sorry, but no clue how to bring that bug to Apples attention.

Play around w/ different procedures. My android phone needs to have the nav function fully operating on the phone itself and then I connect it by wire to the car. It takes maybe 10-15 seconds and then the Android Auto graphic on the screen goes from greyed out to normal. I touch that and then the map appears on the car screen. Music, phone calls etc work just fine w/o a wire but nav needs a wired connection. BTW I also have to touch the 'Home' button on the car to get to the screen w/ the Android Auto button or I would never know it had changed.

This is an interesting thread. I have the latest iOS on an iPhone 13 Pro Max. I’ll check it tonight that it still works. I have a 14 on the way so that is something I’ll have to check before trading in the current phone.

Please let me know how it works I’ve tried everything with no success. I still can use my phone maps on the phone, and managed to have the directions come over the car speaker by the sun visor, but I miss the big display on the radio screen. I wonder if it can be shown over the hud? I thought someone mentioned it, in an earlier thread? Anyway please keep me informed. Have a good one!

I took my 2019 2lt out this morning and google maps worked fine using Apple car play. I didn’t try the iOS map app as I don’t use it ever.
I guess I should have asked which app you are using that is having trouble.
iOS 16.1.1 iPhone 13 Pro Max with an Amazon lightning cable in the armrest port.
EDIT: I reread your original post, you paired it and plug it in? I removed the Bluetooth pairing to my iPhone not long after I took it home because it had weird behavior when plugged in and paired. It’s been almost 3 years now so I don’t remember what it was exactly but I think I had trouble getting CarPlay to behave properly when the was also connected to Bluetooth.

The problem was I needed to use apple car play like shady vette suggested. That’s what I was missing, my 2018 base stingray didn’t make me use apple car play, my 2 lt uses it so I had to figure that out. It actually was pretty simple, after I realized what I needed to do. I haven’t driven any place that I need to use it, but it connects, and looks like it should. A personal thank you is in order to shady vette, from me I truly appreciate it.

I tried Maps app and it navigates me home so iOS 16.1.1 seems to be ok with the c7.
maybe try unpairing the phone and see if it works via the cable only?
