Default lowered by tires

changed from original Michelin run flats to continental extreme non run flat. The car is now scraping underneath when pulling out of driveway. Is there a skid plate beneath the vehicle? Are the tires lower, if so can the car be raised. 2017 Grand Sport.
Thanks

If your new tires are the same size as your OEM tires, and are inflated to the same psi, there should not be any difference in height.

No there is no skid plate. There is a rubber air deflector and it is a common issue on Corvettes dating back to at least the C5 generation. Not hurting anything,

I agree. You should double check the tire specs. Ride height will not be changed with the correct tires.

Sort of, yes.

Circled in red are the spars. Not sure what they're called, but they are the line of defense for if you do something real dumb, like hop a curb. You're probably not hitting these. Between them is a plastic/rubber air dam, as mentioned above It's a little over $100 and held on with screws going into U-nuts. You're probably dragging this. Mine's broken on one side and is prone to dragged on things more often as a result.

They could be. What exact tires did you get? SKU would be nice, otherwise the size and make/model.

Yes, these cars have a bit of adjustability from the factory. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...de-height.html

That said, if all you changed were the tires, and this problem has started directly after this change, logic would dictate that your tires are indeed a different size.

You can get plastic "skids" for those two runners; but, I've never seen good quality steel, as was/is available for the C5s (yeah, I kept that one too).

I did the same thing, I also put the same size Continental's on my 2017 GS. They look smaller than the Michelins. There looks to be more fender well showing.

Where did you purchase the tires?
Did they match them to your car???
