New C7 GS Owner
Hello All,
Picked up my C7 GS 2LT for my 45th birthday, it’s a 2019 GS A8 with 10.7k (at time of purchase) 11.4K currently that was a CPO vehicle. This is my 3rd Corvette that I’ve own but both my others were C4 Corvette’s so my question is what are the quirks about the C7 that I need to watch for? I’ve heard about the A8 transmission shudder and Wheel tick when in full turn but is there anything else I need to watch for (besides police lol)? The records I have doesn’t reflect the transmission getting the flush, should I get this done? Is it covered under warranty? Any advice would help, thank you in ad

wow nice present congrats!
potential cracking of rims causing air leak.
when is the build date of your car? looks like if after Feb 2019 you should have the newer fluid.

Order up a Range device to keep it in V8 mode 100% of the time! I've had one in my 2019 GS since the first week I have owned it. Congrats with the car , just at 11.4k on mine as well, wonderful car.I also keep it in touring mode 95% of the time to save the wheels with the steering and exhaust in track mode in the infotainment settings.

If your car has the sport cup summer only tires, look into getting an alignment for street unless you plan on tracking the car otherwise your tires will wear out in about 13k miles and be careful in temps under 60 degrees!

Develop an eye for pot holes, parking stops and curbs, funky driveways. A balance of the wheels yearly will help avoid or detect cracking wheels. I have an M7 so the only other advice is to use the Ranger Method to suck out the goo in the clutch M/C a few times and do it at least once a year. I do it twice annually. Then pull the fuse for the performance exhaust. I think it is #87, but it's been some time so double check. It's unique for 2019, but the sound is, IMO, much better! Now go out and drive it like you stole it!

The car was Certified by Chevy when I bought it, the tires were brand new and the alignment performed however I hate the Run Flats and will look to replace shortly with Continental’s , I live in Florida so the temps I’m good with

Congratulations on the 19 GS. The TCB for the trans flush is limited to specific VIN numbers. If you have a Chevy dealer you trust with a Corvette, go in and tell the Service rep that you have a shudder at highway speeds and the flush should be free per the TCB. Second the opinion on a good 4-wheel alignment for the street, not the standard track setting. Go ahead and flush the brake fluid with new fluid and have the wheels checked for cracks and roundness (GS and Z06 wheels can do both - I have had four bent rims so far on my 19 GS). Good luck and enjoy every mile/smile!!

I also have a 2LT GS A8 and while not an aggressive driver here on the streets of Brooklyn I do "Drive" her when on the thruway or parkways as My daily driver Ive been hit with the GS curse of cracked wheels and had to replace them with forged monoblock ones..LIlke one of the responders said, I changed the oem Summer only tires with Micheline All season Pilot 3S tires. They handle and ride very good Outside of that enjoy you car and drive her a lot.
