Need Your Opinion on Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 XL Tires
I need your opinion on new tires I'm looking to get on my 2015 Stingray Coupe. I currently have the Michelin runflats with 19" in front 20" in back, and I can't stand the skipping, ride, and rear end sliding out from under me. They are 7 years old and it's time for a new set of tires.
The popular consensus on this forum for all season non run flats is the Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 Plus tires. After calling Discount Tire and Tire Rack, it appears that the rear tire is on backorder with no fulfillment date by Continental projected.
However, when I called Tire Rack the sales person suggested that I can get these same tires but go a size up (XL) with the tire being 10mm wider and 5 mm taller and they are in stock.
I know that because of the size of the tire, it would fill up the wheel wells a bit more, (not sure what this would look like) but other than that what is your opinion on the XL? The price is literally the same from Tire Rack (see quote below) as the non-XL and they come with a 2 year road hazard guarantee and free shipping to a GM dealership for install.
Let me know your feedback!

I have no info on the plus or XL tires. But my wife's 2015 Mustang came w/ summer tires and they were so bad that in Oct we replaced them w/ DWS06.. Somewhere around 40-45,000 miles we bought another set. She didn't quite need them yet but had a new job and a long commute and winter was coming so we bought a little early. Dec 2019 I bought a 19 Stingray and wanted to get rid of the runflat Michelins. Tire Rack had some nice wheels and plenty of DWS so I bought them. I am as happy w/ them as my wife has been for 6 years.

I have the DWS06 Plus on my '17 GS, but I have no info on the XL. I've had them for about 3 months now and I love them. Much better ride (and quieter) than the factory run flats.
