Default Best Intake Valve Chemical Carbon Cleaner

Anyone used the Berryman Carbon Cleaning product? If so were results good? Supposedly it is is for GDI engines. My 2017 Stingray Coupe now has 67,000 miles and still seems to be running great. Mine is a manual trans. so have never used the AFM. Still, would like to clean the valves without media blasting at the dealer.

I always use Tectron, every 3rd tank full, just turned 50,000 in my 2017 GS. No problems so far. Always 91-93 % gas. Dealer wanted to sell me a "Fuel system Clean job" for $ 195. @ 20,000 miles, I have no Idea what that is, or what they sell you it is supposed to do.

I've used the recommended GM product for the 5-years I've owned mine, at every oil-change as per the instructions on the bottle.

Correct. No gas additive will since the fuel isn’t injected before the intake valves. I have yet to see any true hard evidence of carbon deposits on C7 intake valves that needs cleaning.

Dave nailed it. DI injects fuel directly into the combustion chamber and doesnt flow past the valves.

My previous Audi S5 V8 had known coking issues. Under warranty, the dealer took the heads off and blasted with walnut shells.
