Default Key Fob
Can a key fob be repaired? My #1 fob will not activate lowering the top. All other functions operate normally.

Have you tried changing the FOB battery? I would do that before I tried anything else.

Mine will only work if I stand right next to the car, even with a new battery installed.

If you open the fob you should also be able to see where the button presses against the circuit board. Try cleaning the whole contact area with alcohol or equivalent.
