Don't trust the "Fuel Range" mileage, unless your driving on dead flat (no elevation changes) highways at a constant speed.
Yesterday I filled up near Williams, AZ (elevation ~ 6900') and the DIC fuel range indicated 495 miles.
90 miles later at 75mph in Camp Verde, AZ (elevation ~3100') the fuel range indicator read 513 miles.
The next 80 miles to get home in Peoria, AZ (elevation ~ 1300') it read 446 miles.
So 170 miles on 50 miles worth of fuel ????

Melting Slicks
My vette gets the best mileage of all my vehicles(4cyl Jeep Cherokee, Duramax Chevy, and a trailblazer). Filled tank, reset meter, drove 59 miles at 82MPH = 31.9 MPG. half the time was in manual so the V4 AFM did not engage. I didn't get where I am today by giving my money away...
