Default New Car Day! 2019 Grand Sport

Well I finally decided to trade in my 2016 Stingray Z51 for a 2019 Grand Sport 2LT, and boy am I glad I did. Can you say badass! That wide body is so aggressive looking. Couple of nice perks, the previous owner installed a Range AFM disabler. I had a 2.5 hr drive home from the dealer and was wondering why it was staying in V8 mode. I actually had one in my Stingray which I removed before trading it in. Also I noticed driving home it was running a bit cooler. I figured probably because it was newer. Nope….the previous owner installed a aFe Power Cold Air Intake. Way cool! I didn’t even notice it when I was at the dealer. Not only does it run cooler, but you get around 18+ horse power. Works for me! The hash strips are after market. Not crazy about them. I plan to replace them with OEM style ones.

Very nice GS and I agree with you that the stock fender stripes look better. Congrats and enjoy the car.

I don't know about the AFE 18hp gains & running cooler, but enjoy your new wide body!

Definitely works! On the drive home from the dealer which was almost a 3 hour drive, it was running much cooler then my drive up with my Stingray. In fact I just had all the vents in the Stingray cleaned, so there was nothing blocking any airflow, yet the GS was running allot cooler.

I believe the 19 GS (and the Z06) has better cooling than the previous years. They have an extra horizontally located radiator in the front. When I am cruising, on most days, my coolant temp is below 190F.

My 17 GS is the same way. I noticed it runs a lot cooler than my 2014 Z51 did.
