This is true, mine did not, There is a GM update that is available to add it to early 2016 models though. If it was done in warrantee, it was free. I recently had mine updated because I use Android Auto on my other cars, and it cost me $100.00. I am so glad I did it,

Yes. Several companies offer this capability. There are numerous posts on this topic with possible loss of some other functions depending on if Z51 or not, etc. I did my 2014, 1LT, non-Z51 and had no problems. . You'll need these 3 items (Radio tuner, HMI Module, and new USB port) for the upgrade without factory Nav (I05):

If you plan on doing this, you need to have whom ever you purchase from, program your VIN into the system.
