I sent a message to the Mobil 1 rebate site yesterday asking about the status of rebates for 2022. I got this email today, which should make everyone happy:

I do not believe that the e-mail is connected to the Mobil 1 rebate. Go to the Mobil 1 site and look up their rebate offering.
The email I received and posted at the beginning of this thread was from Mobil 1, not the outfit running the rebate, and I assumed their statement was the Righteous Word (caps intended). I just called M1 and the friendly rep said their info was that the rebate would start on June 1st, but forwarded my call to the Rebate Center, which is apparently a third-part outfit. That rep told me it would start on July 1stand go until Sept. 30th. I asked her if I could be assured that on July 1st I would see info on the 2022 rebate on the M1 rebate center site and she answered in the affirmative. So, it appears the M1 doesn't know the status of their own rebate, and I for one won't hold my breath for another month expecting to see a rebate start. That said, I'm stocked up for at least another year and won't be buying any M1 oill until (or if) another rebate starts, so I remain vigilant.
It's worth noting that the rep at the rebate center said that to take advantage of any 2022 rebate any qualifying invoice would need to be dated between 7/1 - 9/30. If we're interested in getting a rebate this year I would not buy the product until I see official word on the Rebate Center site.
As for the wisdom of stocking up, year after year the time period and maximum rebate keeps shrinking. Two years ago and before it was two rebate sessions (20 qt. max) to one last year (10 qt. max), and this year the session will presumably be even shorter. No word on rebate maximums or other details yet, but something is better than nothing. I'm thinking the rebate program as we know it may just fade into oblivion.

It won't go on forever with ever increasing amounts. The less established it is, the more they have to induce purchase.
There's also a $25 rebate on 10 qts of Pennzoil synthetic going on. That can be used in your other cars, and use the Mobil 1 rebate on the 10 qts for the C7. I don't dare suggest using any other brand of oil in a Corvette.

Thanks for that very pertinent tip. I was going to use Walmart's store brand (Super Tech) in my truck and lawn equipment, which seems to be getting good feedback from various sources. Either would work fine in those applications, but having the Pennzoil option is good to know.

I think someone mentioned that when he worked in some capacity with a Nascar team, they tested and Amsoil came in 2nd behind Mobile 1.

Muchas gracias for the $50 you saved me! I bought 12 quarts of the 0w40 for my new RAM 2500 6.4 HEMI and (2) 5 qt. jugs of 5w20 for my Grand Cherokee Limited. I use Ultra Platinum for my Mopar rides. Didn’t even know Pennzoil had a rebate going and was glad to learn the CF came through again with info that 06/01 is the date for the Mobile rebate. CF Rules and you guys Rock!
No, rollback I believe means it's just the cheapest price they ever offered at another time. BTW Your getting robbed, my Walmart has the price rollback to $24.47 lol
