Mice like the C7 as much as I
I live in central Illinois in the country and I am constantly fighting the mice! Regardless of how many I trap, they're always getting into my cabin filter area and chewing it up! I keep it in the garage, but those mice always seem to find their way in. It's a constant nuisance. I took out the soiled filter and turned the fan on high to clean out the vents with different settings. Then my fan started to sound like a card in the spokes of a bike. I took out the fan and had to clean the heck out of it. See attached! I don't want to put out poison bait because I'm concerned they'll die inside my car somewhere. Any suggestions or success stories?

I don't do much for mice with the RV but it came once and the wife freaked out. Sent it to be sealed and they haven't been back but we put the mice deterrent packs for her sake. Pick one or try all the myths above.

Look for how they're getting into the garage. Holes and cracks. Seal them up. Once they make a home out of the garage and car, it's hard to break their routine. You gotta kill them all and then seal up the garage. I did this with my shed and it worked. I felt like a mouse assassin. Funny thing is they got into my shed but left my garage alone and they are only like 4 feet apart. The garage is pretty sealed up. Never had an issue in my vettes in the garage. Oh also don't keep your garage door open all day like my dumb neighbors. Mine is always closed unless I'm in there doing an oil change or something.

Looks like they made a pretty comfortable best in the blower motor. In addition to making sure the garage is sealed up tight and you don’t leave the garage doors open when not in the space, trapping the little critters is the best way to keep
any damage from happening. I use one of the sonic devices (have for years) as well as put some Bounce dryer sheets in the engine bay and interior. Never had any mice in the garage or car, but that could just be a coincidence.

Melting Slicks
Don't bait them. I did that and one found it's way in to my ductwork to curl up and die. Couldn't locate it or get it out and wasn't going to tear the dash out. I played the waiting game until it turned to dust. It still doesn't smell quite right after 8 months. Going to ionize the system over the next few months when the weather breaks. I now have traps all over the garage as well as keeping the hood open when parked. I put a bag of mothballs at the interior filter location in hopes of deterring them from entering that location too. It's all out war at my place

Glue traps with a small bit of peanut butter and they are done, works 100%.

I would say get a cat but it would be cruel to leave a cat in the garage full time.

I had mice in my last house garage. Figured out how they got in, fixed it, continued to use a trap and they never came back.

WHen mine was at other garage I put mint drippers at all possible entry points, dryer sheets all over the place and didn't have a problem. I think if your around more your presence helps as well.. that was a rough winter worrying all season about mice.. funny side note I kept finding little droppings and could not for the life of me figure out how poison traps.. nothing was catching it..it turned out I had a resident bat in the garage I hope you can get those little creeps under control.. sux they got it there

Burning Brakes
Buy one of these and install under hood. I had problems in attic above bedroom and under hood of pickup truck
parked outside.... haven't had problems in over 2 years since installed Takes 2 "C" batteries and
I used cable ties to secure in engine compartment. Just bought another one to install
in my garage next to my vette. Although there seems to be declaimers on sonic repellents,
I can only vouch on my experience. I no longer have a problem while using this device.
Used to catch mice weekly in attic in mouse traps on far side of house from bedroom.... haven't caught a mouse in over a year...
and never hear them in attic above bedroom since installed (installed only in attic above bedroom,
although rest on house also seem rodent free). Had remnants or rodents eating on top of pickup
engine... no remnants in 2 years since installed.
For $20 bucks well worth you trying it out.
