Default Blacking out crome front strip on Stingray.

Does anyone have any idea or product that can black out the crome strip that looks like a retainer on the front of the Stingray?

I understand black vinyl tape works well. I have a Z06 so this has not been an issue for me.

Autozone has chrome delete tape for about $5, used it on mine, looked good and easy installation. Used it on my 16 Stingray I had.

I got an overlay kit off of Amazon - link below. Just take your time to apply and trim. I've had it on 18 months now and it still looks great. No issues.

Wow, you may be Corvette Mod's first satisfied customer.
Just kidding of course, but they have a horrible reputation on this forum.

I used a different vinyl tape that matches perfect. Long roll provides enough for mistakes

Same here. This mod has held up outside 24/7/365 in FL for over a year now. I did just to see how it would look and I left it on because it looked great.

Carefully sand, prep, mask, and paint. Has always worked for me on other vehicles.

I used 3M Carbon Fiber style tape about 6 years ago. The car gets garaged but it still looks like new,
WTH were they thinking when they added that ugly chrome strip to the grill?

I did the same with gloss black duplicolor spray vinyl. It took me about 40 minutes to mask off the nose with painters tape and plastic drop sheeting that I had for a home painting project.
