It was late-80s when the old albums became available on CD. It was mid-90s when CD players started becoming standard equipment in cars. Thinking back, my 1996 Vette had a CD player, but my friend's 1995 didn't.

My 91 still had the slots in the center console for the cassette tapes. Either that or the console was "Ribbed, for her pleasure."

Was driving a '68 Porsche (in '68) in a fairly hard rain just outside Little Creek, Virginia, and IAGDV came on the radio and was just running faster and faster.... I took the exit curve at a silly speed... thanks to tires and suspension it did not end in disaster.... even after all these years IAGDV still makes me drive faster.... P-Car, F-Car, Vette....
