Hey there, i have a 2015 z51 stingray. looking to see what the widest back tire i can go. I need a lot of guidance lol. Also, does anyone have trouble with shifting into second? Also, is it a huge process to lower a bit?

1-2 shift can be a little stiff especially when cold. I switched to this trans oil and it helped a lot.

Look for threads here on "lowering using the stock bolts." It is pretty easy to do.

Before i went widebody i fit 305s in the rear easily. Could maybe swing 315 if you wanted to try.

Why? For road track use? For the appearance that you race road tracks? Certainly not for straight line acceleration, since extra width alone doesn't increase traction.

It is easy to lower.Getting it with zero camber and toe for better tire wear ain't.Even adding a adjustable toe link doesn't get my GS to zero. It's better, not perfect.
Probably just me or the alignment guy? Gonna start a thread and see

When a car is lowered you will get negative camber. So you will need alignment. A C7 also has a rear caster adjustment and it needs tools to adjust. You will need to find a shop that has the tools that measure rear caster.

You may be experiencing 1to 4 skip shift when not leaving it in first long enough, should also be light to tell you its ok to shift out of first

Replace your clutch fluid. Very easy to do.

There are several options to consider to override the 1-2 lockout. I did it with my C7 and C6.
