2019 GS Continental Extreme Contact Tires
I have a 2019 GS with 985 miles on it, and live in Michigan, so the factory OEM Michelin summer only tires do not work for me in the spring & fall, I purchased a new set of the Continental Extreme Contact DW06 All Season tires, and had them installed yesterday, these are "non run flats". I am very impressed in how much quieter they are, and a major improvement in overall ride quality. I am a senior and all out performance not my thing. Some time in the near future I will sell the OEM factory tires to the "performance guys" who can/will make better use of them. Thanks, Jim

Hope the tires serve you well this winter. A/S tires are a good addition to the car when you drive it all year around.

Great tires.
I’ve had them on other cars. They are great tires.
I’m more amazed you have a 2019 with under 1,000 miles. I thought I was doing good with 4,000 on mine!!! Good luck. Enjoy!

Tires
I only drive the car spring, summer, & fall, Thanksgiving thru Easter it is parked, having the quiet & good ride tires will serve us well, as we do a fall 4K mile driving trip every year, Thanks, Jim

I do love those tires, I run them on my 88 and ran them on my Cayenne. About 25-30K is what I got out of them.

I have them on my car as well. never any issues, much better ride than the run flats. Would buy again.

C6 of Year Finalist (performance mods) 2019
Just bought a set of Continentals for my '19 Stingray in 18 & 19 sizes to mount on C6 Gumbys prior to my 22 day/6600 mi Sept road trip. So much quieter than the OEM RF's and the extra 1/2" of sidewall softened the ride somewhat, while totally eliminating the low speed tight turn scrubbing. Using the Gumbys required a .100 spacer and ET lugnuts to clear the calipers. The wear rate indicates they'll go about 40K mi, however I never go down to the wear bars.

Another vote for the Continentals and as to your question, yes, going to a non run flat tire like the Continentals will all but eliminate the cracked and bent wheel problem. Run flats are designed with a stiff inner band on the inner sidewall to support the weight of the car when flat. The problems are: the small sidewall of a 25 series tire, the stiff sidewall and wide wheels. When you hit a pot hole, the impact is absorbed by the inner sidewall and transferred to the inner wheel lip, which is why all the wheels crack at this location. A non run flat tire will ride smoother and the interior of the car will be a lot quieter. You can actually carry on a conversation without having to yell and can hear the radio.

Safety Car
We used the DWS06 tires for years on our Audi, I tried the new version called the DWS06+ on our newest Audi and hated them. Continental softened up the sidewall on them which makes the car wallow some when being pushed hard in the turns and transitions. I swapped them out for the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires, much better handling response over the new versions of the DWS06+.
I run the Continental Extreme Contact Sport on my 700rwp C7 Z06 and they work amazing year round for me.

Burning Brakes
I am running the Continental ExtremeContact Sports on my 15 Z06. I agree that the ride and road noise is much better than it was with the Michelin run flats on it. I also agree that while the Z06 wheels are weak and cause problems with cracking and bent wheels that there are much fewer problems with the non run flats vs the run flats because of the extremely hard sidewall with almost no give to it vs the softer sidewalls on the non run flats. Also did away with the tire hop, chatter or Ackermann effect at low speeds when turning.

I have a set on my 2012 MB ML350. Great AS tires for an SUV.
For a Vette? Don't know. I've got Michelin Pilot Super Sport non-runflats on my 2014 Z51 and 2008 BMW 335i.
