Default Cabin Filter

I have changed out the engine air filter and the cabin filter. First time for me on this vehicle. I viewed the videos one can find on the internet on 'How To'......they make it look so easy....,it ain't............

After a few banged up knuckles and a few choice words i got the engine filter in.

On the cabin filter The videos show 'arrows' that indicate air direction flow. Well my OEM filter does not show them? The one I took out to replace did not show any either? I looked at the replacement and it looked like there was no difference in material density on either side. So, I just replaced it with the 'printed' info on filter facing up so one could read it, in other words not up side down??

Do you all concur?

I think you will be fine in terms of the cabin air filter.

And I agree about the engine filter - kind of a pain to get to with the hood lift in the way.

Yep, same problem, no arrows on the OEM filter. Difficult to install without deforming the cheaply made filter. I get a flashlight to be sure the filter is covering the duct leading to the cabin. It seems like when I get an oil change at the dealer they check the cabin filter by removing it and then shoving it back in incorrectly deforming it.
